Madurai Corporation has announced a 5% discount on property tax payments for the financial year 2025-26 for property owners who settle their dues by April 30.
The discount is limited to a maximum of 5,000 per taxpayer. In its announcement, the corporation encouraged residents to take advantage of this time-sensitive offer by ensuring their property tax payments are made by the specified deadline.
This initiative is designed to enhance early tax collection and minimize last-minute payments. To ensure a seamless payment process, the corporation has also decided to keep tax collection centers open on weekends throughout April, excluding public holidays. This initiative aims to assist residents who may find it challenging to make payments during weekdays.
