Parallel Thread Coupler

A parallel thread rebar coupler is a cylindrical metal sleeve with internal threads designed to connect two reinforcing bars having matching external parallel threads. The ends of the reinforcement bars are prepared through a machining process to create uniform threads. These threaded ends are then screwed into the coupler to establish a mechanical connection.

The coupler transfers tensile and compressive forces between the connected reinforcement bars through the threaded engagement. Its performance depends on the quality of the threads, coupler material, engagement length, manufacturing tolerances and installation procedures.

Parallel thread systems are designed to provide consistent connections without requiring welding or extensive reinforcement overlap. Depending on the product design, they can be used with different reinforcement diameters and in various structural configurations.
