Geosynthetics

Water management is an important part of foundation and retaining structure design. Groundwater, rainfall infiltration and seepage can accumulate around foundations and behind retaining walls, increasing hydrostatic pressure and affecting …

Modern building construction increasingly faces challenges related to weak or variable soil conditions, higher structural loads, and the need for long-term durability with minimal settlement. Traditional soil improvement techniques such …

Soil, by nature, has excellent compressive strength but performs poorly under tension. This limitation often leads to instability, excessive deformation, or even structural failure. Uniaxial geogrids address this weakness by …

Highway embankments, rail corridors, canal banks, and building sites often encounter slope instability and surface erosion problems. Exposure to rain, runoff, and poor soil circumstances progressively compromises slope stability. Slope …

Instrumentation and monitoring provide real data on soil and structural performance. They help engineers, consultants, and authorities verify designs, manage construction risks, and maintain long-term safety. These systems focus on …

Geosynthetic wrap-around walls are reinforced soil structures where geosynthetics are used to provide tensile resistance, with the reinforcement extending beyond the face and wrapped around to confine the soil mass. …

Turf Reinforcement Mats (TRMs) are engineered three-dimensional structures made of synthetic or composite materials used to provide permanent erosion control and reinforce vegetation. TRMs are designed to stabilize soil and …

Prefabricated Vertical Drains (PVDs) are thin, flat drainage elements made of plastic and wrapped in a filter fabric. The plastic core allows water to flow through, while the surrounding geotextile …

A geonet is a synthetic material made from HDPE or polypropylene, featuring a net-like structure of intersecting ribs. It enables efficient fluid movement while preventing the passage of soil and …

The concept of using stabilizers for soil stabilization to enhance its bearing capacity evolved from horticultural practices, where stabilizer products were initially used to treat soil for improved plant growth. …
