The carpentry firm Zimmerei Frank, located in Munich,is the first customer to take delivery of a new Liebherr 43 K fast-erecting crane.This crane was successfully delivered in May 2025 and has been added to a fleet that already includes 14 Liebherr cranes.
The medium-sized enterprise, which employs 60 staff members, has consistently chosen Liebherr for its quality, reliability, and collaborative approach on all projects over the years. The Liebherr 43 K replaces the well-regarded 34 K model, with which Zimmerei Frank has had consistently positive experiences.
The company has now opted for the 43 K, marking the first crane from this new series. A significant factor in this decision was the crane’s enhanced hook height of 30.2 meters, which offers a distinct advantage for construction sites located in the urban areas of Munich. Zimmerei Frank specializes in renovation, extension, and heritage building projects. High-performance, compact solutions are crucial for the confined construction sites in Bavaria’s capital.
The new Liebherr 43 K fast-erecting crane is particularly well-suited for these conditions, thanks to its small footprint, extended reach, and elevated hook height. Its standard features include the load-sway assistant Sway Control, which provides safety and stability for less experienced crane operators.
The new crane made its debut at Liebherr’s facility in Biberach at the end of 2024, where it underwent a comprehensive inspection and test drive during a factory tour. The acquisition of the first 43 K model underscores the enduring and close partnership between Zimmerei Frank and Liebherr. “Zimmerei Frank is synonymous with quality and genuine collaboration. We expect the same from our suppliers. Our long-standing relationship with Liebherr exemplifies this,” states Stefan Frank, the owner and managing director of Zimmerei Frank.
