Telangana initiated Rs 60,799-cr road development projects

Telangana’s Roads and Buildings Minister, Komatireddy Venkat Reddy, has declared that the state government, with the support of the Centre, has initiated road development projects exceeding Rs 60,799 crore to enhance the infrastructure of Telangana.

Key projects include the eight-laning of the Hyderabad–Vijayawada National Highway at a cost of Rs 10,400 crore, the Rs 36,000-crore Regional Ring Road (RRR), a 52-km elevated corridor from Mannanur to Srisailam valued at Rs 8,000 crore, and a greenfield highway connecting Bharat Future City to Rajahmundry Port at Rs 20,000 crore.

Furthermore, Rs 11,000 crore will be designated for the improvement of rural, mandal, and district roads. Minister Reddy emphasized that these initiatives are designed to position Telangana as a global investment destination, attract multinational corporations, and create employment opportunities for millions of young people.

The RRR will link all districts via a six-lane expressway, co-financed by the state and the Centre, thereby enhancing connectivity, safety, and economic development.
