The Gandhinagar Municipal Corporation has issued a tender for the establishment of a 72 MLD sewage treatment plant (STP) at Sargasan. The contract, valued at Rs 166.98 crore, will be executed under the hybrid annuity model (HAM) and encompasses several essential components.
These components include the installation of a 200-meter-long, 1800 mm diameter trunkline through micro-tunneling from the existing manhole to the proposed terminal sewage pumping station (TSPS), the construction of the TSPS along with all electromechanical works; a rising main from the TSPS to the STP, in addition to the construction of the STP itself.
Furthermore, treated water will be directed to the Pethapur power plant and Swarnim Park. The construction timeline is established for 21 months from the effective date, followed by a three-month trial period and 15 years of operation and maintenance after the commercial operation date (COD). The deadline for bid submissions is set for 27 October 2025.
