Within a month of the launch of the Apna Ghar Awaas Yojana 2025, the Delhi Development Authority has successfully sold 830 flats, with 630, or 75%, of these units located in Narela alone. Officials report that 150 flats were sold in Loknayakpuram and 50 in Siraspur.
An official stated, The positive momentum of the scheme is particularly noticeable in Narela, where all 115 EWS flats in Sector A1 A4 have been completely booked. Furthermore, the MIG flats in Loknayakpuram are nearly sold out.
The scheme provides ready-to-move-in flats at reduced prices across various categories, including economically weaker sections, low-income group (LIG), middle-income group (MIG), and high-income group (HIG). An official mentioned, This is a fully online scheme, with registration commencing on May 27. Its main features include a first-come, first-served basis, the availability of ready-to-move-in flats, and the opportunity for potential buyers to visit sample flats at the sites. The DDA has introduced several buyer-friendly initiatives, such as an integrated online inquiry portal, improved communication with buyers, and thorough property documentation transfer, an official stated.
The authority is making significant efforts to promote the scheme, which offers 7,500 units at a remarkable 25% discount on LIG flats and 15% on EWS, MIG, and HIG categories. During the launch of the scheme, Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena also introduced a specialized chatbot service for DDA housing schemes. This service offers 24/7 citizen support, enhanced communication, and public transparency, providing ongoing assistance regarding DDA’s housing initiatives.
We are concurrently enhancing infrastructure and connectivity in the aforementioned regions. In Narela, the DDA is collaborating with various agencies to establish an education hub, develop urban extension road-2, and secure approval for the Rithala-Narela-Kundali metro rail corridor. At Siraspur, the apartments are situated close to GT Karnal Road and the Samaypur Badli metro station,” the official stated. The registration process for the apartments will remain open until August 26, with the possibility of extensions.
