On Thursday, the Telangana government introduced a slot booking system for non-agricultural property registrations at 22 sub-registration offices throughout the state. Officials reported a positive response, with 626 out of 1,056 available slots reserved on the inaugural day.

Revenue and Registration Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy announced that the slot booking initiative commenced on a pilot basis at these 22 offices, with plans to expand the system statewide depending on its success. “We are implementing reforms across all departments to enhance public benefits and provide seamless services,” the minister stated.

Expressing satisfaction with the strong turnout, the minister urged department officials to promote the slot booking system widely, as it aims to decrease waiting times for citizens and reduce reliance on brokers. At the 22 sub-registration offices, the daily schedule is organized into 48 time slots, with additional registrations available from 5 to 6 PM in case of emergencies.

The government has also decided to establish more sub-registration offices in areas experiencing high demand. Individuals can reserve their preferred dates and time slots for property registrations by visiting the website registrations.telangana.gov.in.
