Neilsoft launches ConstructMonitor for monitoring construction quality and progress

ConstructMonitor, a SaaS solution from Neilsoft for managing construction quality and progress, is the company’s new product to its global clientele in the AEC/Construction , Manufacturing, and Industrial Plants categories. Neilsoft is a dedicated provider of Engineering Services & Software Solutions (ER&D). For every client or project, ConstructMonitor is provided as a Software as a Service (SaaS) option that may be installed on a public or private cloud.

The system enables distant users to ascertain the accuracy of the building that is still under construction, and it provides customized visualization capabilities and user-friendly dashboards that offer a comprehensive perspective of the construction project.

With the help of terrestrial 3D laser scanners once a month and LiDAR-enabled iPhones either daily or weekly, ConstructMonitor allows General Contractors, EPC firms, Architects, Project & Construction Management firms, and Owners to remotely monitor design deviations at construction sites (in relation to Design BIM models).

“Data from building information models, or BIMs, is the foundation of our technology. A 3D BIM model is used to compare the reality of the physical data that is captured using a 3D scanner. Thus, a crucial component of our workforce is the 3D BIM model. At the opening of a software event, Raghuram NM, President of Neilsoft India Solutions Business, told “With our 3D BIM model, our solution is very limited.”

A press release states that the solution, which was created in partnership between Tokyo-based Fujita Corporation and Neilsoft, is intended to address problems with construction project quality in larger construction projects such as IT parks, malls, commercial offices, high-rise buildings, data centers, hospitals, industrial plants, and factories.

Construction quality and deviation from as-designed BIM models during the construction phase remain an issue, despite the fact that BIM adoption has increased dramatically throughout the project’s design phase.

Raghuram NM on the sidelines also highlighted the waste problems and said that, nearly 40% of waste is generated from the construction industry and this is factual information and also the construction sector is the largest producer of the carbon footprint. He added that construction related problems such as quality issues, lack of collaboration, delay in construction progress and limited use of advanced technology.
