The lottery for 334 plots under the Anant Nagar Scheme located on Mohan Road is set to take place on June 10 at Indira Gandhi Pratishthan. Among the 13,031 individuals who registered online for these plots, the fortunate winners will be revealed through a transparent draw held in the presence of the applicants.
At present, the road measures between 7 to 10 metres in width, and directives have been issued to expand it to a width of 24 metres. The administration will provide assistance in securing the necessary approvals from the relevant departments.
As stated by Pratamesh Kumar, the vice chairman of the Lucknow Development Authority (LDA), the Anant Nagar Residential Scheme is being developed across 785 acres and is anticipated to house around 1.5 lakh residents. The project encompasses approximately 2,100 residential plots and 120 commercial plots. Additionally, it will include 60 group housing plots featuring over 10,000 flats, along with around 5,000 buildings designated for EWS and LIG categories, benefiting more than 25,000 individuals.
Housing development will also occur under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. The township is being designed in a grid pattern, incorporating wide roads and underground power cables. An Edutech City is also planned over 100 acres, which will include hostels and residential buildings for approximately 10,000 students, teachers, and faculty members.
Roughly 130 acres will be allocated for parks and green spaces. The scheme also incorporates measures for solid waste management and is projected to be the city’s inaugural zero liquid discharge residential project. In terms of land acquisition, the District Magistrate has instructed that compensation for affected farmers be processed swiftly. It was reported that the compensation funds have been transferred to the ADM (Land Acquisition), yet some landowners have not yet completed the necessary forms. The SDM of Sarojininagar has been tasked with ensuring that revenue staff assist farmers at the site office in filling out these forms.
The online registration period for the 334 plots was available from April 4 to May 5. All applicants will receive notifications regarding the lottery, and those who need to amend any errors in their application forms will have until June 4 to do so.
