With only four days remaining in the 2024-25 financial year, the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) has encouraged property taxpayers to take advantage of the One Time Scheme (OTS), which provides a 90% reduction on interest payments. So far, the tax collection under OTS has reached Rs 150 crore, while the total tax collection is Rs 1,720 crore.
GHMC commissioner K Ilambarithi said that property tax can be paid online,at citizen service centers, and e-Seva Kendras located in both the circle and headquarters, which will be operational from 8 am to 11 pm.He also mentioned that residents can pay their taxes when collectors visit their homes and get the rebate on arrears.Additionally, property tax payments can be made via the MyGHMC app.
Additional Commissioner of Finance, Anurag Jayanti, recommended that taxpayers take advantage of the 90% rebate on accumulated property tax interest arrears before the deadline of March 31,otherwise taxpayers will miss out on the opportunity.
