Bauma CONEXPO India 2023 began on 31st January at India Expo Centre, Greater Noida, Delhi NCR. The exhibition began with lamp lighting by Guest of Honor – Shri. Nand Gopal Guptaji, Cabinet Minister – industrial development, export promotion, NRI, Investment Promotion, Government of Uttar Pradesh, followed by an Inaugural Ceremony. Union Road, Transport and Highways Minister Shri. Nitin Gadkari, the Chief Guest inaugurated the bauma Exhibitor Directory and participated in the sapling plantation ceremony with other dignitaries on board.
Shri Nitin Gadkari glanced upon the entire exhibition area to have an overview of new construction equipments and products being showcased at the exhibition.He urged construction machinery manufacturers to make equipment that runs on alternative fuel instead of diesel to curb air pollution. such as green hydrogen, biofuel, and bio-bitumen.
“You should make joint ventures with foreign companies on the use of alternative fuel run machines. We are planning to impose 20% additional GST on equipment run on diesel,” he said. He also stressed skilled manpower and emphasized on the need to arrange workshops for trainers/operators.
Several panel discussions were also organized at bauma CONEXPO Índia 2023. ‘Indian Growth Story Led By Infrastructure Development’ at the ICEMA-bC India session included top industry technocrats deliberating upon the various aspects to push the envelope of Indian infrastructure growth. An interactive session on the ‘Border Roads Organisation in Nation Building’ with Lt. Gen. Rajeev Chaudhry VSM, Director General, Border Road was also organised to get insight into how BRO contributes to Nation Building. To stay in tune with manufacturers’ expectations, road contractors’ demands, improve efficiency and dodge common challenges surrounding quarrying, bauma CONEXPO 2023 India hosted a Quarry Forward 2023 panel discussion.

SCHWING Stetter India launched 14 new products at bauma CONEXPO Índia 2023
A range of new products were launched at the outdoor stall O/C20 in 57×40 sq. ft. space, including a Shotcrete pump (from R&D) – TSR 30.14 (EV), Cylinder Finisher – CF450 XXV, Belt Conveyor – 40m and many more other products.
V.G. Sakthikumar, Managing Director, Schwing Stetter India highlighted that the company will launch a minimum of 25 new products this year in alignment with the 25th anniversary of 25 years in India.
He also focused on the potential of the Shotcrete machine for tunneling applications. TSR 30.14 (EV) electric machine was showcased during the exhibition which has been designed and developed in India. Since the machine does not have an engine, while working at a high altitude, where the temperature is low it can function productively.
TSR 30.14 (EV) comprises a manipulator boom that is at the same time versatile and extremely precise on nozzle placement, it has a vertical reach of 14 meters and a horizontal reach of 12 meters. Boom lifting and Telescopic cylinders have self-locking valves to avoid unwanted movements. For emergency purposes, a purpose manipulator can operate the boom through a manual control block. The Robust and compact manipulator boom is at the same time versatile and extremely precise on nozzle placement; it has a vertical reach of 14 meters and a horizontal reach of 12 meters. Boom lifting and Telescopic cylinders have self-locking valves to avoid unwanted movements.
The company is also exporting the machine to the Middle east.
The company is also expanding in different new areas such as Ice plant, Concrete Paver Finisher and Truck mounted conveyors for dams.
Volvo CE Showcased Electric Compact Excavator at bauma CONEXPO Índia 2023
Volvo Construction Equipment showcased an eclectic mix of machines focussed on road segments. One of the exhibits is the EC55 Electric Compact Excavator, which the company claims assures at least a 50% reduction in energy costs and over 30% savings in maintenance expenses. The EC55 model will be available by early 2024. Also on display is the Volvo EC 200D Crawler Excavator with Quick Coupler plus HB22 breaker.
Alongside these two models, the OEM also exhibits Volvo P7320 Track Paver, the recent paver range to be manufactured and launched in India. The unit offers a combination of power, production capacity and precision for excellent paving quality with perfectly smooth mats. Fitted with a 9m high-density variomatic screed, the P7320D paver offers a marked degree of flexibility when frequently changing paving widths. With a Volvo fixed screed, this paver is proven effective when paving up to 700 tonne per hour at nine metres width.
Escorts Kubota launched DIGMAX Super backhoe loaders at bauma CONEXPO Índia 2023
At Bauma Conexpo, Escorts Kubota Ltd launched Escort Kubota’s range of new Backhoe Loaders, DIGMAX Super backhoe loaders. It comes with an engine that generates an adequate amount of Power and Torque. In addition, this engine gives a new dimension to work output. Its cabin comes with a six-pillar design with a great ergonomic design.
The company also showcased its wide range and joint strength of products, including the new age High-End Pick & Carry Crane in the Whiteline series, demonstrating the technical superiority in terms of capacity and safety apart from superior fit and finish. It is equipped with anti-toppling features that provide enhanced safety on-site and innovative technology that makes it superior to conventional machines. The crane offers best-in-class durability, high capacity, stability, and versatility of operations.
A range of Mini Excavators from Kubota were also displayed at Bauma Conexpo 2023.
Komatsu and L&T showcase hybrid excavator at bauma CONEXPO India 2023
Komatsu and L&T showcased the HB365LC-1 hybrid excavator, which is at least 20% more energy efficient and helps reduce carbon emissions compared to conventional equipment.
The PC300LC-8 hydraulic excavator fitted with parallel cabin and orange peel grapple is ideally suited for scrap handling which is expected to grow multifold with the new automobile scrapping policy.
Other products on display included Komatsu’s PC210-10MO super long front, PC205-10M0 hydraulic excavator ‘the EarthMaster’ and newly introduced PC500LC-10R hydraulic excavator developed for the mid-mining segment and the next-gen GD535-6 motor grader.
The stall also showcased value-added special attachments from Komatsu such as rock breaker, quick coupler and car scrap handler, as well as L&T-manufactured items viz., crusher bucket, rock splitter, clamshell and slope compactor – which have multiple applications in the construction industry.
Tata Hitachi showcased the indigenous Wheel Loader model ZW225, at bauma CONEXPO Índia 2023
Tata Hitachi showcased its latest equipment, attachments, and innovative solutions, including the all-new 5 Ton indigenous Wheel Loader model ZW225, Backhoe Loader SHINRAI PRO and the new Hydraulic Excavator EX200 INFRA, among other Excavator models. Also on display are attachments like Drum cutter model KDC45, Miller Quick Coupler Range 6, Rock breaker Sandvik BR2577i, and Block handling bucket. Also, on display is NX30, the NEXTGEN Mini Excavator which is being launched in a phased manner. The machines displayed by Tata Hitachi featured cutting-edge telematics solutions, ConSite and InSite. These advanced technologies help improve machine productivity and efficiency on job sites.
Sany Bharat showcased 21 machines for infrastructure application at bauma CONEXPO Índia 2023
Sany Bharat exhibited around 21 machines for various infrastructure-related applications such as excavation, hoisting, mining, deep foundation along with road and port equipment. Sany Bharat launched 12 new machines in this exhibition. It announced a completely new product vertical that will offer road equipmenta.In a brand-new product vertical, Sany Bharat will provide Indian road contractors with road equipment. The business is also commemorating the production and supply of 25,000 pieces of equipment for various infrastructure improvement projects across the nation.
BKT launched EARTHMAX crusher haul & EARTHMAX SR 34 at bauma CONEXPO Índia 2023

JK Tyre launched three new Off-the-Road tyres (OTR) at the Bauma Conexpo 2023. The new offerings- 26.5-25 Loader Champ 28PR E4/L4 TL, 23X8.50-12 JET TRAX ULTIMA 6PR TL and 23X5.7-12 JET TRAX SUPER II 4PR TL are the latest additions to its existing product portfolio.

The exhibition has been playing a catalytic role in showcasing innovations in construction equipment for supporting the infrastructure development of the country and this year was not too different.
