Lucknow–Kanpur Expressway nears completion, inauguration likely by December

Regarding the bad conditions of the Mangaluru-Bengaluru national highway roads at Hassan-Sakleshpur and Addahole, Public Welfare Department (PWD) Minister C C Patil and Power Minister Sunil Kumar have ordered the officials of the National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) to carry out repair works with immediate effect.

Addressing a meet at Vikas Soudha, both the ministers said that they received a lot of complaints from the commuters about the discomfort of travelling by the highway.

Puttur BJP MLA Sanjeeva Matandoor said, “One side of the highway is in a very bad condition. If it doesn’t get repaired soon, the people travelling to coastal districts will face connectivity issues. This must be settled as soon as possible”.

Assessing all the suggestions and queries, the minister directed the PWD and NHAI officials to work as a unit and complete the work in time.

Several officials of the PWD and NHAI departments were present respectively.
