Kerala Roadways names Jothi Menon as CEO

Jothi is a co-founder of Spoton Logistics which was acquired by Delhivery in 2022

Kerala Roadways (P) Ltd has named Jothi Menon as its Chief Executive Officer and member of the board as it looks to expand into the fast-growing express cargo segment.Jothi is a co-founder of Spoton Logistics and played a significant role in its growth and fundraising efforts, before it was acquired by Delhivery in 2022.

Prior to Spoton, Jothi, a graduate from XLRI, held leadership roles at IBM, Accenture, and AOL.Jothi is one of the few women leaders in the Indian logistics sector, the Company said while making the announcement.“Jothi Menon is an accomplished leader whose execution track record, deep logistics industry knowledge, understanding of technology, and people skills make her the ideal candidate to lead Kerala Roadways as we embark on this transformative journey to capitalize on the expected economic growth in India over the next decade,” M K Siraj, Chairman of KRS, said.

With this strategic leadership appointment, Kerala Roadways is set to expand its services into the fast-growing express cargo space, which is currently witnessing a compounded annual growth rate of 15 percent with high-profit margins, the Company said.

The move ties with the vision of Kerala Roadways to become an end-to-end logistics service provider in one of the fast-growing sectors of the Indian economy.

“My vision is to ensure Kerala Roadways reclaims its rightful spot as one of the top 10 logistics enterprises in India,” Jothi said. “At an estimated revenue growth of 7X across business lines driven by technology enablement and customer centricity, we aim to be in the top 10 profitable logistics companies in India by 2030,” she added.

Founded in 1962 by V K Moidoo, Kerala Roadways has grown into a network spanning 400 offices servicing over 1,000 locations. The company boasts a daily movement of 7,500 tonnes of cargo with a fleet of 1,500 trucks and a dedicated team of over 3,500 employees.
