Tata Steel Ltd commissioned its first steel recycling plant with a capacity of 0.5 million tonnes in Rohtak, Haryana on Wednesday towards increasing the company’s sustainable steel-making production and establishing a supply chain for scrap in India.
“Steel Scrap is a valuable resource and an important future Raw Material for steel making. Recycling scrap ensures the closure of the Circular Economy loop,” Yogesh Bedi, Chief Steel Recycling Business, Tata Steel said.
