To boost revenue, the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) will be offering a five per cent discount on building permission charges provided the full amount is paid on application without availing the instalment offer. The scheme can only be availed by builders or developers if the plot area is more than 1,000 square metres.
Builders will also have the option of paying permission charges in four instalments, however. the five per cent rebate will not applicable in that case. The first instalment should be paid while applying for permission while the remaining three instalments shall be paid before March 2021.
The scheme, however, will be scrapped post-March 2021 said officials.
According to GHMC officials, the scheme has received good response so far. “We are expecting the same in coming days too. Requests have been pouring in ever since we rolled out the scheme,” said a GHMC official.
