CEPT University has introduced a two-year, full-time MBA program in real estate through its faculty of management, designed to cultivate professionals capable of operating in areas such as design, planning, construction technology, finance, and firm management. These skills are increasingly deemed essential by developers as the industry becomes more structured and corporatized.

Barjor Mehta, president of CEPT University, along with Chirayu Bhatt, deputy provost, stated that the program has been developed through discussions with developers, finance and advisory experts, as well as feedback from alumni. The advisory group includes Pawan Bakeri, chairman and managing director of Bakeri Group; Priyansh Kapoor, CEO and director of Arvind SmartSpaces; Mr. Monu Ratra, executive director and CEO of Capri Global Capital; Swapnil Anil, managing director of Advisory Services for Colliers International India; Subhankar Mitra, co-founder; and Angelique Chettiparamb, professor of Urban Planning and Governance at Henley Business School.

Mehta emphasized that the program’s focus extends beyond real estate firm management to encompass the process of bringing projects to market, which includes land strategy, redevelopment, financing instruments such as REITs, and sustainability/ESG. This is supported by CEPT’s studio-based teaching approach and a model that integrates full-time faculty with practicing adjunct professionals.
