Bengaluru-based Puravankara Limited has strengthened its presence in one of the city’s fastest-growing residential markets with the acquisition of a 9.73-acre land parcel in North Bengaluru’s airport corridor. The proposed development is expected to generate an estimated revenue potential of ₹800 crore, underscoring the developer’s continued confidence in the region’s long-term growth prospects.
Located at Sanna Ammanikere in the rapidly expanding Devanahalli growth corridor, the newly acquired site offers a development potential of approximately 0.89 million square feet. The company completed the outright acquisition on June 17, although details regarding the transaction value and seller have not been disclosed.
The acquisition aligns with Puravankara’s strategy of expanding its footprint across high-growth micro-markets in Bengaluru through a combination of outright land purchases and capital-efficient development partnerships. The planned residential project is expected to cater to rising demand from homebuyers seeking modern, well-designed homes in well-connected urban locations.
Commenting on the development, Ashish Puravankara said the acquisition reflects the company’s strong belief in the long-term potential of North Bengaluru. He noted that the developer remains focused on building a robust project pipeline through disciplined capital allocation, faster project launches, and developments that meet the evolving aspirations of modern homebuyers.
North Bengaluru has emerged as one of the most sought-after real estate destinations in the city, driven by major infrastructure investments and employment-led growth. The Devanahalli corridor benefits from its proximity to Kempegowda International Airport and enjoys connectivity to several key business and industrial hubs.
The region is witnessing significant infrastructure upgrades, including the upcoming Airport Metro line, the Satellite Town Ring Road (STRR), Aerospace Park, and Airport City developments. These projects are expected to improve accessibility and further boost residential and commercial demand in the area.
According to Mallanna Sasalu, North Bengaluru is increasingly being shaped by a combination of infrastructure-led growth, expanding employment opportunities, and strong end-user demand. The upcoming project aims to create a well-planned residential community offering connectivity, amenities, and a high-quality living experience.
The latest acquisition follows a series of strategic land purchases and joint development agreements by Puravankara across Bengaluru, including locations such as Hennur Road, Mandur, and Doddagubbi. As of March 2026, the developer had completed 95 projects spanning nearly 57 million square feet across nine Indian cities, while maintaining a land bank of around 40 million square feet and ongoing projects totaling 36.69 million square feet.
