After an FIR was filed alleging fraud by a group of home buyers against Ozone Urbana Infra Developers Pvt Ltd, the company clarified that the FIR has been stayed by the High Court of Karnataka on July 20, 2022.
A group of 128 customers who, based on the direction of the Magistrate Court, had filed an FIR on July 17 against the Directors of Ozone Urbana Infra Developers Pvt Ltd and several housing financing companies.
Reacting to the allegation that Ozone Urbana Infra Developers Pvt. Ltd. had indulged in a Ponzi scheme with an alleged collection of Rs. 80 crore, the company clarified that units sold in 2015-18 were under the interest subvention scheme offered by banks and FIs after seeking necessary statutory clearances.
On charges of delay in construction, the company clarified that the pandemic had an adverse effect in almost all construction sites across the country and that at the project, out of a total 71 towers, only 4 towers are behind schedule right now.
About EMIs, the company clarified that customers have paid only 10-15% of the value, and Ozone has serviced EMIs on these home loans on behalf of the customers.
