Two separate fire incidents were reported in different parts of Noida on Friday morning, prompting a swift response from the fire department. Fortunately, no casualties or injuries were reported in either incident, officials said.
The first fire broke out at Ivy County, a residential society located in Sector 75, where flames engulfed a flat on the 12th floor of a high-rise tower. Fire department officials rushed to the scene immediately after receiving information about the blaze and launched firefighting operations to prevent the fire from spreading to adjacent apartments.
According to officials, the fire was brought under control after sustained efforts by firefighting teams. Residents of the tower were alerted, and precautionary measures were taken to ensure their safety. Authorities have not yet determined the exact cause of the fire, and an investigation is underway.
In a separate incident reported shortly afterward, a fire broke out at a paying guest (PG) accommodation in E-3, Shatabdi Vihar, Sector 52. The property reportedly houses a restaurant on the ground floor, while the upper floors are used as a PG facility. Fire officials said the incident occurred approximately 15 minutes after the Sector 75 fire was reported.
Two fire tenders were immediately dispatched to the Sector 52 location to contain the blaze. Emergency personnel worked quickly to bring the situation under control and ensure the safe evacuation of occupants. No injuries or fatalities were reported from the site.
Officials stated that the cause of the Sector 52 fire is also yet to be ascertained. Both incidents are being investigated to determine whether electrical faults, negligence, or other factors may have contributed to the outbreaks.
The twin fire incidents come at a time when authorities in Gautam Buddh Nagar are conducting a seven-day special fire safety inspection and awareness campaign across hotels, guest houses, and other commercial establishments. The initiative, being carried out jointly by the police and fire department, aims to improve compliance with fire safety regulations and strengthen emergency preparedness.
As part of the campaign, property owners and operators have been instructed to ensure that firefighting equipment remains fully functional, emergency exits are accessible at all times, and fire safety protocols are strictly followed. Authorities have emphasized the importance of regular maintenance and preparedness measures to minimize risks and facilitate safe evacuations during emergencies.
The incidents have once again highlighted concerns about fire safety in residential and commercial buildings, particularly following the devastating hotel fire in Delhi’s Malviya Nagar earlier this week. That tragedy claimed the lives of 21 people, including foreign nationals, after a fire rapidly spread through a five-storey building reportedly lacking adequate evacuation infrastructure. More than 50 people were rescued during that incident.
Fire officials in Noida have urged residents, housing societies, and commercial establishments to remain vigilant and ensure that fire safety systems are operational. They have also advised citizens to immediately report any signs of fire hazards and participate in safety awareness initiatives.
While the swift response of emergency teams helped prevent loss of life in Friday’s incidents, authorities continue to investigate both cases and are expected to release further details once preliminary findings become available.
