Emaar Green residents file complaint against Emaar India

Emaar India is committed to provide its residents a safe, secure and happy community lifestyle. We are in active dialogue with residents at Gurugram Greens," a spokesperson said.

Residents of Emaar Gurugram Greens in Sector 102 have filed a complaint at the CM’s Window against the developer alleging poor quality of construction and structural damages to the towers.

More than 50 families living there have demanded a structural and forensic audit of the society, and said they were also facing problems related to maintenance, electricity and security. Sandeep Fogat, a resident, said the builder had promised delivery by 2016, but start offering possession only in mid-2019.

Pawan Tanwar, another resident, said the construction quality is very poor. “There are big cracks on walls and other structures. On a few occasions, window panes have fallen from upper floors, which could have led to unfortunate incidents,” he added.

Meanwhile, Emaar said it is working on resolving the issues. “Emaar India is committed to provide its residents a safe, secure and happy community lifestyle. We are in active dialogue with residents at Gurugram Greens,” a spokesperson said.

Tulip Violet residents write to CM’s office, DTCP

Residents of Tulip Violet in Sector 69 have written to chief minister’s office and the departments of town and country planning and vigilance demanding a safety audit of the society after the developer attached iron staircases to the society’s towers to comply with building norms. They said the staircases, which weigh several tonnes, pose a safety hazard to residents.

When contacted, Parveen Jain, CMD of Tulip group, said: “The norm of a second staircase for fire safety came after the building and complex were completed. So, we installed them afterwards.”
