The City and Industrial Development Corporation of Maharashtra is set to establish an Integrated Logistics Park (ILP) in Navi Mumbai and has called for Expressions of Interest (EOI) for the initial phase of the project.
This initiative is in accordance with the Maharashtra government’s MIDC Pass-through Policy and aims to bolster the logistics infrastructure in the region to accommodate the increasing trade and industrial activities.
A detailed master plan has been developed for the project, which segments the area into seven logistics zones, incorporating a well-structured road network with 45-metre and 30-metre-wide roads to facilitate seamless connectivity and effective cargo movement.
The development is intended to foster a logistics ecosystem that is prepared for the future, supporting warehousing, distribution, and the integration of multimodal transport. In Phase 1, CIDCO has initiated a pilot project that encompasses 12 plots within land parcel L1, covering approximately 179.29 acres, through a competitive bidding process.
The authority will also construct vital trunk infrastructure, which includes internal roads, water supply systems, sewerage networks, and stormwater drainage facilities. This project is anticipated to improve logistics efficiency, draw private investment, and establish Navi Mumbai as a significant logistics hub in western India.
