Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will inaugurate 329 development projects worth Rs 422 crore during a function in Khadda tehsil of Kushinagar district on Wednesday. On the occasion, he will also lay the foundation for 461 projects of Rs 1,546 crore.
Sources close to the development said Yogi has been taking issues of Kushinagar under serious consideration ever since he became an MP from Gorakhpur, though the area was not under his parliamentary constituency.
He raised voice for the poor condition of people belonging to Mushar community and against encephalitis in the area. After becoming chief minister, he took several concrete measures that controlled the disease and brought positive changes in the lives of Mushar community people.
As part of the efforts towards infrastructural development in the district, a medical college is being constructed while an airport has already been built for international connectivity. Besides, the CM has allocated Rs 50 crore this year for establishment of an agriculture university in Kushinagar.
On Wednesday, the CM will also inaugurate a free dialysis centre at Bharouli in Gola tehsil of Gorakhpur and unveil the statue of Swargiya Singh at Ramsakhi Ramniwas Shikshan Sankul campus.
