Adani Group is set to enhance its cement operations in Madhya Pradesh by establishing a significant cement grinding facility in Guna. The Group’s cement division, Adani Cement, has acquired land for a unit with a capacity of six million tonnes per annum, involving an investment of Rs 1,500 crore.
This initiative is anticipated to generate approximately 300 direct jobs and nearly 1,200 indirect employment opportunities. The project signifies a considerable advancement in industrial activity and local livelihoods within the area.
In addition, Adani Cement has progressed with plans for a second grinding unit in the Ujjain district, proposing an investment of Rs 1,400 crore and seeking around 70 acres of land for a facility of similar capacity.
Confirming these developments, MPIDC Managing Director Chandramauli Shukla stated, “There are two Adani proposals for Guna and Ujjain.” He further mentioned that while land has been allocated in Guna, the Ujjain site is still under review, with Bhopal and Rewa also being considered.
Adani Cement, which encompasses Ambuja Cements and ACC, currently operates ACC’s integrated cement plant located in Kymore.
