PMA Discusses Vision and Roadmap for 2026–27

A major session of the first day is the Vision & Roadmap of PMA, led by the President, Vice Presidents and Core Committee members.

The discussion includes the proposed official launch of the PMA Newsletter, which is intended to provide members with regular updates on association activities, technical developments, industry initiatives and opportunities.

Technical standardisation is another major area of discussion. PMA is planning technical design manuals for U-Drains and Box Culverts, while also discussing NABL support and factory certifications for manufacturers.

The association is also looking at stronger engagement with municipal bodies, NHAI, Railways, Metro organisations and Central and State Ministries. Discussions are focusing on how PMA can represent the interests of precast manufacturers and contribute to policy discussions involving precast construction.

A further proposal involves advocating for the mandatory adoption of precast in public works, along with exploring Central Government subsidies for new precast manufacturing plants.

Business Growth and Industry Development

The Business Growth & Industry Development session is focusing on opportunities for PMA members to work together and develop new commercial avenues.

The agenda includes commercial tie-ups, joint bidding, business referrals and live tender tracking. These initiatives could help members identify project opportunities and explore collaboration for larger requirements.

The meeting is also discussing the PMA Academy, a proposed training initiative for civil engineers and site supervisors. The programme is intended to support technical learning and improve understanding of precast manufacturing, design, execution and site practices.

Advanced Technologies in Precast

Technology is another key area of the first day’s programme.

The Advanced Technologies session covers Ultra-High Performance Concrete (UHPC), plant automation and a Common Mould Bank.

Discussions around UHPC are focused on its potential applications in precast products and specialised construction requirements. Plant automation is being considered in the context of manufacturing processes, production efficiency and improved control over plant operations.

The proposed Common Mould Bank is also being discussed as a potential resource-sharing initiative that could help manufacturers access moulds for different product requirements without each member having to independently develop every mould.

Global Growth and Industry Collaborations

The meeting is also looking beyond the domestic market through discussions on global growth and collaborations.

PMA is considering a proposed delegation to bauma CHINA, providing members an opportunity to engage with international construction equipment, technology and manufacturing developments.

The association is also exploring partnerships with international precast associations. Such collaborations could create opportunities for technical exchange, knowledge sharing and exposure to international precast practices.

Open House Discussion with Premium Members

An Open House Discussion is providing members with a platform to raise their concerns and share their expectations from PMA.

The session covers member challenges, business opportunities, suggestions and future expectations. It is intended to bring practical industry concerns into the association’s planning process and help determine areas requiring greater attention.

The interaction also gives members an opportunity to discuss possible collaborative initiatives and identify common requirements across different regions.

PMA Action Plan 2026–27

The first day will conclude with the PMA Action Plan 2026–27, which is expected to establish measurable activities for the association during the next 12 months.

The proposed plan includes:

  • 12 webinars
  • 6 workshops
  • 5 technical manuals
  • 5 State Chapters
  • PMA Core Elections
  • Appointment of State Presidents

The annual programme is intended to increase PMA’s technical activities, regional presence and engagement with its members.

The first day’s programme will conclude with a gala dinner and networking evening, giving Premium Members an opportunity to continue discussions and build professional connections.

Focus on Industry Development

The PMA Premium Members Meet 2026 is providing a platform for manufacturers to discuss the future direction of the precast sector and the role of the association in supporting industry development.

The discussions cover a wide range of areas, from technical manuals and standards to government engagement, business opportunities, training, advanced technologies and international collaboration.

With the participation of Premium Members and the PMA leadership team, the meeting is expected to help shape the association’s priorities for 2026–27 and identify initiatives that can support manufacturers across different regions.

The discussions are also aimed at strengthening interaction among members and creating opportunities for joint business, technical cooperation, knowledge sharing and engagement with project authorities.
