The auction for open plots in Thorrur and Bahadurpally garnered significant interest, with one square yard selling for Rs 45,500 in Thorrur and Rs 40,500 in Bahadurpally. The Rajiv Swagruha Corporation organized auctions for 85 open plots in various locations on Monday.
Out of these, 66 plots were auctioned in Thorrur, 11 in Kurmalguda, and eight in Bahadurpally. A total of 150 bidders took part in the auction. VP Gautam, the managing director of the corporation, stated that the auctions received a favorable response. Due to Thorrur’s proximity to the ORR and the Adibatla IT corridor, the highest bid reached Rs 45,000 per square yard.
“Although the corporation had set an upset price of Rs 25,000 per square yard, the plots were sold at an average of Rs 32,500 per square yard,” the official remarked. In a similar vein, since Kurmalguda is near Shamshabad airport, bidders acquired plots for Rs 27,500 per square yard, surpassing the upset price of Rs 20,000 per square yard. In Bahadurpally, the upset price was Rs 27,000 per square yard, while the highest bid soared to Rs 40,500 per square yard, with the average bid recorded at Rs 33,800 per square yard.
