CM Sukhu launches Rs 153.81-cr projects in Fatehpur

Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu inaugurated and laid the foundation stones for eight development projects valued at Rs 153.81 crore during his one-day visit to the Fatehpur Assembly constituency in Kangra district. These initiatives are designed to enhance infrastructure, connectivity, and civic amenities in the area.

A significant highlight of the visit was the bhoomi pujan for an 800-metre-span bridge over the Beas River, which is set to greatly improve connectivity between the Fatehpur and Jaswan-Pragpur Assembly constituencies, thereby enhancing mobility for the local residents.

The Chief Minister also laid the foundation stone for the Fatehpur to Badiali Road project, which is supported by NABARD, with the objective of improving rural road infrastructure. Furthermore, an allocation of Rs 35 lakh was made for the construction of a Shaheed Smarak at Fatehpur, which will honor local martyrs and bolster community remembrance initiatives.

These projects collectively demonstrate the state government’s commitment to balanced regional development, enhanced transportation networks, and public welfare infrastructure. The initiatives are anticipated to increase accessibility, foster economic activity, and elevate the overall quality of life for residents in the constituency and its neighboring areas.
