With just two months to go for Bidhannagar Municipal Corporation (BMC) to achieve its annual property tax and mutation fee collection target, the civic authorities are set to reorganise its tax collection drive.
It is planning to hold tax camps at highrises and the neighbourhoods in the Rajarhat-Gopalpur area.
The authorities have already achieved over 50% of its target to collect about Rs 60 crore as property tax this fiscal.
“Tax camps were held at some complexes before the Puja. Camps are again being planned as part of the tax and mutation fee collection drive,” said a BMC assessment and mutation department official.
