The Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) has approved a 200-acre multimodal logistics park at Tappal-Bajna and initiated plans for an 8,000-hectare industrial node near Noida International Airport. The projects are expected to strengthen logistics infrastructure, support industrial expansion and attract new investments to the region.
The approvals were taken at YEIDA’s 93rd board meeting as development around Noida International Airport gathers pace. The proposed logistics park and industrial node are expected to create additional space for manufacturing, logistics and related business activities, while supporting employment generation and supply chain development.
200-Acre Multimodal Logistics Park
The multimodal logistics park at Tappal-Bajna will be developed across 200 acres. YEIDA plans to offer land to eligible investors through an e-auction process.
The project is intended to establish a dedicated logistics hub that can support movement, storage and distribution activities in the airport region. YEIDA CEO RK Singh said the development is expected to attract investment and generate employment while strengthening the Yamuna area as a logistics centre.
The project is also part of the wider infrastructure development taking place around Noida International Airport, where industrial and commercial activity is expected to increase as connectivity improves.
8,000-Hectare Industrial Node Planned
YEIDA is also preparing a master plan for an 8,000-hectare industrial node proposed to the south of Noida International Airport. The authority is in the process of appointing a consultant for preparing the master plan.
The proposed industrial node is expected to provide land and supporting infrastructure for planned industrial development. Its large scale could create opportunities for manufacturing units and other industrial activities, alongside supporting logistics and commercial infrastructure.
Together, the logistics park and industrial node are expected to expand the region’s industrial base and provide additional infrastructure for businesses seeking locations close to the airport.
Industrial Plot Development Progress
YEIDA also reviewed the progress of industrial plots in its area. Of 295 industrial plots measuring more than 4,000 square metres, lease deeds have been executed for 181 plots. Possession has been given for 152 plots, while construction has started on 69 plots. Production has commenced at 13 units.
In Sector 28, the Medical Device Park has seen 123 of its 203 plots allotted. Possession has been handed over for 75 plots, while construction has started on 28 plots.
Several common facilities are also under development in the Medical Device Park. These include a 3D prototype laboratory, electronics assembly facility, biomaterial facility, common IT facility and tooling room.
In Sector 29, YEIDA has allotted 159 plots in the Apparel Park, 503 plots in the MSME Park and 188 plots in the Handicraft Park.
Corpus Fund for Civic Infrastructure
The board also approved the YEIDA Corpus Fund Investment Regulation 2026-27. The fund will provide a dedicated financial mechanism for maintaining civic infrastructure across the authority area.
One-time lease rent and other eligible non-recurring receipts will be placed in the corpus and invested according to prescribed regulations. The interest generated from the fund will be used for maintenance and repairs of roads, water supply systems, sewerage, drainage, street lighting, parks, green belts and other civic amenities.
The financial mechanism is intended to support infrastructure requirements as residential and industrial development expands across the YEIDA region.
YEIDA Receipts Rise 182%
YEIDA’s receipts until September 2026-27 increased 182% to Rs 4,222 crore, compared with Rs 1,495 crore during the corresponding period of the previous year. Expenditure during the period stood at Rs 5,501 crore, with land acquisition and loan repayment accounting for a significant share.
The latest approvals indicate a continued focus on industrial, logistics and civic infrastructure around Noida International Airport, with YEIDA advancing multiple projects to support the region’s longer-term development.
