Marathon Nextgen Realty acquires majority stake in three entities for ₹70 crore

Marathon Nextgen Realty has secured a 51% controlling interest in three real estate firms via its wholly-owned subsidiary, Nexzone IT Infrastructures. The company has invested in DVK Developers, Shree S S Developers, and Shree Swami Samarth Builders for a total amount of approximately ₹70 crore.

This acquisition comprises ₹22.47 crore for DVK Developers, ₹40.26 crore for Shree S S Developers, and ₹7.25 crore for Shree Swami Samarth Builders. The three firms together manage six residential projects with a total development capacity of about 5.94 lakh sq ft and an estimated gross development value (GDV) exceeding ₹840 crore. Roughly 35% of the projects associated with these acquisitions are either currently under construction or are set to launch within the next twelve months.

Approximately 20% of the overall project area is designated for permanent transit camp (PTC) development, which is generally associated with slum rehabilitation initiatives, enabling monetization through supply to developers in adjacent micro-markets.

As a result of this transaction, Marathon will assume control over project execution for these developments, as developers increasingly embrace asset-light strategies and broaden their project pipelines through acquisitions in vital urban markets such as the Mumbai Metropolitan Region.
