Krystal Solar Energy SPV, a subsidiary of Krystal Integrated Services, has secured a long-term contract for a rooftop solar project from the Directorate of Medical Education & Research (DMER) in Maharashtra.
This contract encompasses the design, engineering, supply, installation, testing, commissioning, synchronization, operation, and maintenance of grid-connected rooftop solar photovoltaic systems at government hospitals and medical colleges throughout Maharashtra, following a built-own-operate-transfer (BOOT) model.
Valued at approximately Rs 138 crore, the contract will be carried out over a span of 25 years. The systems are set to be installed at various rooftop locations, promoting the use of renewable energy within public healthcare infrastructure and decreasing reliance on traditional power sources.
In accordance with the BOOT model, the project developer will maintain ownership and operation of the assets throughout the contract duration, ultimately transferring them to the government upon completion of the term. This arrangement guarantees long-term accountability for performance and operational efficiency.
Krystal Integrated Services possesses a 49 percent share in the associate company responsible for executing the project, thereby enhancing its involvement in the renewable energy sector. This order underscores the increasing implementation of distributed solar solutions within government infrastructure and emphasizes the significance of enduring public-private partnerships in India’s transition to clean energy.
