Kansai Nerolac Paints’ net profit dips by 48.09% in FY26

Kansai Nerolac Paints' net profit dips by 48.09% in FY26

Kansai Nerolac Paints (KNPL) has announced a 48.09 percent decrease in its net consolidated profit for the financial year 2025-26. The profit after tax was reported at ₹575.84 crore in FY26, compared to ₹1,109.33 crore in FY25, as stated by the company in a filing to the BSE.

The net consolidated total income of the company for FY26 was ₹8,197.85 crore, reflecting a growth of 2.96 percent from ₹7,962.12 crore recorded in FY25. In the fourth quarter of FY26, the net consolidated total income rose by 6.99 percent, reaching ₹1,983.40 crore, compared to ₹1,853.74 crore in the same quarter of the previous year.

The profit after tax increased by 7.28 percent to ₹109.89 crore in Q4 FY26, up from ₹102.43 crore in the corresponding quarter of the prior fiscal year. Pravin Chaudhari, the managing director of the company, remarked, “During the quarter, raw material costs, which were stable in January and February, surged sharply due to the crisis in West Asia and the depreciation of the rupee. The company has implemented price increases to partially mitigate the effects of inflation.

Additionally, the company has approached industrial clients regarding these price hikes.” The board of directors has proposed a dividend of 250% (₹2.50 per share) for the financial year ending March 31, 2026. This is a decrease from the 375% (₹3.75 per share) dividend distributed for the financial year ending March 31, 2025, which included a special dividend of 125% (₹1.25 per share).
