JK Cement has officially opened its advanced grey cement plant in Buxar, Bihar, which signifies a major achievement in the company’s growth trajectory. With this new facility, the total production capacity of the company has now reached 31.26 million tonnes per annum (MTPA), exceeding the 30 MTPA threshold.

This positions JK Cement among the top five grey cement producers in India, thereby strengthening its national presence and growth strategy. The new plant, which has a capacity of three MTPA, covers an area of 100 acres and is strategically situated along the Patna–Buxar highway, facilitating quicker and more efficient distribution to Bihar and its neighboring areas.

Although JK Cement initially entered the Bihar market through its Prayagraj plant, the Buxar facility will enhance local service, allowing for deliveries within 24 hours. Dr. Raghavpat Singhania, Managing Director of JK Cement, highlighted the significance of this milestone, stating, “Surpassing 31 MTPA is a pivotal moment in JK Cement’s expansion… The Buxar plant signifies a strategic move towards broadening our national presence.”
