The Lucknow Development Authority (LDA) initiated the lottery process for its Anant Nagar Housing Scheme on Monday at Indira Gandhi Pratishthan. On the first day, 56 plots were allocated through a draw attended by applicants.
The draw included 19 plots of 450 square metres and 37 plots of 162 square metres, with approximately 1,400 applicants vying for them. LDA vice chairperson Prathamesh Kumar announced that on Tuesday, 155 plots measuring 200 and 288 square metres will be allocated.
The concluding day on September 10 will feature the draw for 121 plots of 112.5 square metres. As per officials, 8,568 individuals registered online for 332 plots in the second phase of Anant Nagar’s Adarsh Khand from July 11 to August 10. The lottery process is set to continue until September 10. Spanning 785 acres on Mohan Road, the Anant Nagar scheme aims to provide housing for nearly 1.5 lakh individuals.
The plan encompasses around 2,100 residential plots and 120 commercial plots. Furthermore, over 10,000 flats will be constructed across 60 group housing plots. Approximately 25,000 individuals are anticipated to be accommodated in 5,000 buildings designated for EWS and LIG categories.
Construction is also planned under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY). Officials indicated that the scheme is being developed in a grid pattern, incorporating provisions for wide roads and underground power cables. About 130 acres have been allocated for parks and green spaces.
An Edutech City is also included in the plan, equipped with all necessary facilities for students and faculty members. Additional secretary CP Tripathi stated that the lottery is being conducted through a transparent process, with slips drawn directly by the applicants.
