The group of ministers (GoM) has expedited the quantum valley project by designating 50 acres in Amaravati for the information technology initiative. The state has collaborated with major technology firms, including IBM, TCS, and infrastructure leader L&T, to advance this project.
L&T is tasked with constructing a landmark building, while IBM will spearhead the establishment of the quantum computing center. TCS will play a crucial role as a key partner in what is anticipated to be India’s largest quantum computing facility, with plans for the project to be inaugurated by January 2026.
Municipal administration minister Dr. P Narayana stated, ‘In alignment with Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu’s vision, the GoM has resolved to allocate 50 acres for the quantum valley project in Amaravati, which is set to become one of India’s prestigious organizations.’ Additionally, Narayana informed the media that the GoM has allocated 55 acres for the National Law University in Amaravati and has previously designated 15 acres to the Basavatarakam Indo-American Cancer Institution, with an additional six acres allocated for the establishment of a medical college.
Furthermore, he mentioned that 70 cents of land has been allocated to the Income Tax Department, 78 cents to the Indian Red Cross Society, and 40 cents to the Coastal Bank in Amaravati, along with one acre for an IRCTC hotel. To date, approximately 1,050 acres of land have been allocated to 71 organizations within the capital city.
