Somany Ceramics has reported a growth of 18.68 per cent in its net consolidated profit during the quarter ended March 31, 2023. Its profit after tax stood at Rs 24.40 crore in Q4 FY23 as against Rs 20.56 crore it registered in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal, the company said in a BSE filing.
The company’s net consolidated total income stood at Rs 682.77 crore in Q4 FY23, a growth of 10.44 per cent from Rs 618.24 crore it recorded in the similar quarter last year.
The board of directors recommended final dividend @ 150% i.e. Rs 3 per share of Rs 2 each for the financial year ended March 31, 2023.
“We witnessed a tough year on account of economic uncertainties all around the world including severe volatility in gas prices. We were able to end the year on a positive note despite all the odds. The volume and value growth of 10% and 18% respectively for FY23 demonstrating the resilience of Somany. Operating margin improved by 2.4% sequentially on account of decline in input costs including gas price and cost optimisation measures,” the company said in its investors presentation.
