MPIDC has planned to establish a smart industrial residential township in Pithampur sector-7 by acquiring more than 2,200 hectare in 12 villages of Indore district.
“MPIDC has planned a three-phase of developing its sector-7 scheme as part of Pithampur investment region and therefore, a total 2,232 hectares of land has been marked. Of this, the authority has started to process to 1,268 hectares of private land while the remaining is the government and forest land and the process to get its possession is underway” MPIDC executive director Pratul Sinha said.
He added that so far, MPIDC has given a compensation of around Rs 80 crore to acquire around 400 hectares of private land while the landowners will be given Rs 320 crore worth of plots as per their eligibility.
“The township is expected to complete in next two-three years, of which, around 800 hectares of plotted area is reserved to setup industry” he said, adding that remaining plotted area will be used to develop residential colonies including big apartment by the private firms to settle the laborers and other people, who will work around.
He added entire project as part of Pithampur sector-7 is coming under 12 villages of Indore district that is situated near to Betma tehsil.
“The industrial residential township will have all the modern facilities to meet the demands of the industry as well as for the people to be residing here” he said, adding that entire township will be a model for other industrial areas to follow.
