To enhance housing sales, the Lucknow Development Authority (LDA) has raised the discount on flat purchases to a maximum of Rs 2 lakh. This promotion will be available until June 30 and will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis. Under the revised discount framework, flats valued at up to Rs 45 lakh will qualify for a discount of Rs 1.5 lakh, while those exceeding Rs 45 lakh will be eligible for a Rs 2 lakh reduction.
Previously, the discounts were set at Rs 1 lakh and Rs 1.5 lakh, respectively. These discounts will apply to various schemes, including Sopana Enclave Apartment at Priyadarshini Yojana, Adra and Ratan Lok Apartments in Shardanagar, as well as Ashlesha, Shravan, Magha, Margashirsha, Sunrise, and Purva Apartments along Kanpur Road, and Smriti Apartment in Jankipuram.
A senior official from the LDA stated that this initiative aims to enhance housing affordability and facilitate quicker allotments. The increased discount will be applicable in various strategically located projects throughout the city, providing buyers with multiple options. Additionally, the LDA is engaging private real estate agents and brokers on a commission basis to enhance the sales of the apartments.
The discount program was initially introduced in October of the previous year as part of the LDA’s golden jubilee celebrations. Originally set for a three-month duration, it was later extended until March due to a lack of sufficient response. Despite this extension, sales remained below anticipated levels, leading the authority to make further adjustments to the scheme. LDA officials express confidence that this updated offer will significantly boost buyer interest and assist in alleviating the surplus of unsold apartments.
