GVMC commissioner G Lakshmisha, who visited Tidco housing project sites at Seahorse Junction and Chilakapeta areas in Vizag city on Wednesday, directed officials to install electricity meters in the name of beneficiaries of Tidco houses.
The commissioner said bank loans have been sanctioned to 37 beneficiaries in Chilakapeta and 25 beneficiaries in Seahorse Junction.
He asked urban community development wing officials to arrange loans for the remaining beneficiaries and hand over the completed houses to them. “The officials should make the existing beneficiaries get electricity connections,” said the commissioner.
After seeing a parked vehicle containing construction waste at Tarakarama Nagar, he asked officials to collect a penalty if the waste is dumped without any permission. He asked them to form special teams to monitor dumping of waste.
In all, home loans have been sanctioned to about 6,000 beneficiaries of Tidco projects being developed in various parts of the district.
