Lucknow police crime branch arrested real estate developer Anil Tulsiani who duped innocents of Rs 11 crore on the pretext of providing them flats at cheaper rates.
The accused identified as Anil Kumar Tulsiani (58), was a native of Prayagraj was arrested from Vibhutikhand crossing in Lucknow on Tuesday.
The accused is named in a dozen cases of crime mainly of dishonesty, fraud in Lucknow and about 20 others in different districts of the state.
DCP, Crime, Prachi Singh, said that a non-bailable warrant was also issued against him while he was also declared an absconder. “The accused used to show properties of the government as his own and in order to appear genuine got prepared fake registration papers and sold the flats/land property to innocents,” said the DCP.
The DCP also said that the accused was absconding from the last four years.
