GPT Infraprojects announced the successful commissioning of its steel girder and components manufacturing facility located in West Bengal, which has an initial production capacity of 10,000 MT per year. This facility is situated in Village Majinan, District Hooghly, approximately 60 kilometers from Kolkata.
The company is currently seeking RDSO approval to manufacture steel bridge girders at this site. As a leader in the steel bridge market for both railway and highway applications, this new facility will provide GPT Infraprojects with a significant cost advantage, enabling a substantial increase in production capacity and an expansion of its client base, which includes railways, NHAI, MORTH, and other customers.
GPT Infra has confirmed that adequate infrastructure development has been maintained to increase the overall capacity to 25,000 MTPA within a span of two years.
