Land pattas to be given to poor families in MP

Addressing Ladli Behna mahasammelan in Gandhwani, Chouhan announced that Ladli Behna sena would be formed in every village. The team would have 21 and 11 members respectively in big and small villages.

Chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Sunday said that no poor in Madhya Pradesh would remain helpless and they would have their own house.

“We have decided to give residential land pattas to poor families in Madhya Pradesh. Members have increased in families and with grown-up children, one needs housing,” said Chouhan while distributing residential land pattas to 115 beneficiaries in Sali village in Gandhwani tehsil of Dhar district. In the district, 4,012 beneficiaries were allotted pattas by chief minister.

Addressing Ladli Behna mahasammelan in Gandhwani, Chouhan announced that Ladli Behna sena would be formed in every village. The team would have 21 and 11 members respectively in big and small villages.

“Ladli Behna scheme will help in women empowerment. The amount will help them meet daily needs of vegetables and grocery items. This is not just a scheme for women, it’s a revolution,” said Chouhan.

He also laid foundation stone for various development projects worth more than Rs 400 crore.

Chouhan along with Union minister Piyush Goyal, Union minister of state for textiles and railways Darshana Vikram Jardosh, state industries minister Rajvardhan Singh Dattigaon, Dhar MLA Neena Verma and other leaders also had food with locals, which was served in dona pattal and earthen pots.

Earlier in the day, Goyal and his wife performed puja at Mahakal temple in Ujjain.
