PM Modi to lay foundation of 9 projects on March 24

Ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s proposed visit on March 24, the district administration has finalised the list of projects ready for inauguration and foundation laying by him.

As per this list, the PM will lay foundation of nine projects worth Rs 1592.49 crore while he will inaugurate 20 projects of Rs 189.41 crore.

A day after chief minister Yogi Adityanath left Kashi after reviewing preparatons for PM’s proposed visit to his parliamentary constituency divisional commissioner Kaushal Raj Sharma on Sunday disclosed that during his stay in the city on March 24 the PM will lay foundation of nine projects of Rs 1592.49 crore.

Of these nine projects, he said, the major one will be Rs 644.40 crore ropeway project, which is going to be introduced for public transport. Other major project is 55 MLD sewage treatment plant at Bhagwanpur under Namami Gange project, he said adding, with the construction of this new STP the total capacity of Bhagwanpur, which has currently a STP of 10 MLD, would become augmented.

The PM will also lay foundation of the second and third phases of modernisation and development of Dr Sampurnanand Sports stadium under Khelo India campaign, he said adding, a LPG bottling plant of Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited in Isarvar Sevapuri area of Rs 194.26 crore and 59 drinking water projects under Jal Jivan mission of Rs 186.72 crore would be other major projects, which will be started after foundation laying by PM.

Apart from these five big budget projects, he said, PM will also lay foundation for centre of excellence on machine tools design of Rs 45 crore at IIT-BHU. Foundation for a primary health centre in Bharthara, Smart City’s 30 double sided LED backlight unipole and floating jetties mounted change rooms in river Ganga would also be laid by him.

Commissioner said that the list of 20 projects going to be inaugurated by PM containes Rs 46.49 crore 19 rural drinking water project under Jal Jivan Mission, air traffic signal tower and technical block of Rs 28.23 crore at LBSI airport, scada automation of drinking water supply in trans-Varuna of Rs 19.49 crore, integrated pack house of Rs 15.78 crore at Karkhiyao industrial area, 2 MW solar power plan at Jal-Kal premises in Bhelupur of Rs 17.25 crore, solar power plant at Konia pumping station of Rs 5.89 crore, urban road upgradation under smart city of Rs 13.32 crore, additional building at circuit house of Rs nine crores, community health centre at Sarnath of Rs 6.73 crore, beautification of Chandpur industrial estate Rs 4.94 crore, Antargrihi Parikrama route of Rs 3.08 crore and nine other projects.
