The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has revealed its intention to construct a three-kilometer flyover at Narsingpur, situated on the Delhi-Gurgaon Expressway, in order to tackle ongoing traffic congestion.

This initiative seeks to alleviate the bottlenecks on a segment that is often affected by slow traffic, particularly as vehicles transition from a four-lane area at Hero Honda Chowk to a narrower three-lane roadway near Narsingpur.

The region also encounters issues such as inadequately maintained service roads and unauthorized cuts, which exacerbate the problem. NHAI Chairman Santosh Kumar has instructed officials to develop a comprehensive project report (DPR) for the flyover.

Nevertheless, the design and alignment will be determined following an extensive study. “The proposal is presently in a conceptual phase and will initially be examined at the concept level,” stated an NHAI official. This initiative is part of a larger strategy to enhance road infrastructure, improve connectivity, and prioritize public safety and effective traffic management.
