Soon, register sale deeds at any taluka office soon: Goa CM

Soon, citizens will have the ability to register their sale deeds at any of the 12 sub-registrar offices across the state. Chief Minister Pramod Sawant stated on Monday that the land registration process will no longer be confined to the area where the land is situated.

He also mentioned that the entire procedures for marriage and land registrations will be optimized within the next 10 days, following directives issued to officials on Monday. “Today, I convened a meeting as the law minister with registrars, sub-registrars, and directors.

We discussed various issues concerning the National Informatics Centre (NIC) and the Info Tech Corporation of Goa (ITG), particularly those related to IT infrastructure. Citizens have been encountering difficulties, ranging from marriage registrations to land registrations. I have instructed them to address all these issues.

We are in the process of establishing a new office in Mapusa, and discussions regarding this relocation have taken place. I am confident that you will notice improvements in their operations within the next 10 days,” the Chief Minister remarked.

He further stated that their long-standing issues with NIC and ITG have been addressed. “I announced in the budget that registration will be feasible from any registrar. For instance, one can register in Pernem while being in Margao, or Canacona registration can be completed in Pernem. This will be resolved within 10 days, enabling registration to be conducted from any location within the state,” he added.
