The three premium housing projects in the city, which are being built by the Bhubaneswar Development Authority (BDA), are nearing completion and they should be ready for potential buyers by the end of this year, officials said on Saturday.
Of the three, two housing projects are coming up in Kalinga Nagar at K9A and K9B, respectively. While the K9A one is a 10-storeyed commercial-cum-residential building, the one at K9B is five-storeyed residential complex. The other project is coming up at Subudhipur.
“Construction of the K9B project is almost complete. An advertisement will be issued for the project in a fortnight and allotment will start accordingly. We expect to complete the other two projects by December,” BDA planning member Gouri Shankar Bhuyan said.
Officials said that all the housing complexes are equipped with a range of amenities like parks, open spaces, greenery, sewage treatment plants, zero discharge facility and 24/7 water and electricity supply.
The project at K9A, which is named as Kharavela Complex, is being built at a cost of Rs 59 crore and it will have 56 3BHKs and 14 4BHKs for the high-income group. The ground and first floors will be utilised for commercial purposes, sources said.
On the other hand, the Rs 27.50-crore complex at K9B, named as Daya Enclave, will have 128 2BHKs for the middle-income group. The authorities are planning to start the allotment process by the end of this year.
The project at Subudhipur, named Ekamra Residency, is being built at a cost of Rs 199.64 crore and it will be a 14-storeyed structure built with state-of-the-art technology. The residency will have 416 2BHKs and 288 3BHKs for the middle as well as the high-income groups.
Besides these premium projects, the BDA is also executing a number of affordable housing projects in the city for people belonging to lower income group and the economically weaker section of the society.
