Retired IAS officer Sanjay Bhoosreddy was appointed the chairman of the UP Real Estate Regulatory Authority (UP RERA), while another retired IAS officer Dimple Verma was appointed the member, UP RERA on Friday.
Dimple Verma is the wife of special DGP Prashant Kumar. A three-member committee headed by the Chief Justice was constituted for the selection of the chairman and members of RERA.
Additional chief secretary Nitin Ramesh Gokarn was included as member. Applications of 30 people for the post of president and 26 for the post of member were placed before the panel.
Bhoosreddy had retired on June 30 this year. Outgoing chairman of UP RERA, Rajive Kumar was appointed in August 2018.
