NHAI Strengthens Incident Management System with HLL Life Care Agreement

The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aims to fortify NHAI's existing incident management system, encompassing ambulances, route patrol vans & cranes, real-time tracking, and supportive supervision.

In a significant development, the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has entered into an agreement with HLL Life Care Ltd to enhance incident management systems and aid accident victims on National Highways, as stated in an official announcement on Friday.

The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aims to fortify NHAI’s existing incident management system, encompassing ambulances, route patrol vans & cranes, real-time tracking, and supportive supervision.

This collaboration seeks to improve response times, facilitating the prompt referral of accident victims to nearby health facilities and establishing a seamless process for incident management.

Key highlights of the agreement include the operation and management of Trauma Centres/Emergency Stabilization Centers, with a focus on maximizing assistance during the crucial golden hour and enhancing health outcomes.

Furthermore, HLL Lifecare Limited will contribute services for comprehensive geo-tagging, mapping, and engagement of health facilities and trauma centers along National Highways, thereby enhancing emergency medical response by connecting health facilities with ambulances.

The agreement also entails the creation of a blueprint for investment in trauma centers along National Highways. This collaboration is set to remain in effect for a period of five years.
