The state government will soon announce the list of Mhada layouts that will be taken up for cluster redevelopment, said deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis.
He announced that Mhada will be appointed as nodal agency for the redevelopment of Kamathipura and a cabinet decision will be taken soon.
On Wednesday, Fadnavis held a review of all housing projects in the city at Mhada Bhavan. He said the 68 stalled slum rehabilitation projects will be taken over by Mhada.
The state will also come up with a scheme to pay rent arrears and even future rent for residents of stalled Mhada and SRA projects. The state will soon announce the scheme for rent payment, he said.
