Approximately 4,000 defaulters in the city are poised to benefit as the Lucknow Development Authority (LDA) will conduct camps across its schemes under the One-Time Settlement (OTS) initiative commencing Saturday.
Under this initiative, defaulters will receive relief from penalties and compound interest, allowing them to settle their dues to regularize ownership. Applications will be processed within a three-month timeframe. Allottees who pay the full amount within 30 days will receive a 3% discount.
For dues exceeding Rs 50 lakh, one-third must be paid within 30 days, with the remaining balance payable in installments over a period of six months. To facilitate the process, a help desk has been established at the LDA office where staff will assist applicants in completing online forms on-site. Allottees may also apply through special camps that will be organized across various schemes. LDA vice-chairman Prathmesh Kumar has instructed that no OTS application should be denied or objected to at lower levels without his consent, in order to avoid unnecessary delays.
The initiative will be active from April 18 to July 17 and will encompass both residential and commercial properties, including EWS, LIG, MIG, and HIG categories, as well as plots allocated to institutions, schools, charitable organizations, and cooperative housing societies.
